For The Purpose of Godliness
That we are to pursue Godliness (Holiness, Christlikeness) is clear. We are told in 1Tim 4:7, “discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness.”
Hebrews 12:14 tells us “make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy.” Godliness, however, does not come naturally. “Godliness comes through discipline.”
Based largely on Donald S. Whitney’s book, Spiritual Disciplines For The Christian Life, this four week course covers ten disciplines that serve Christians in pursuing godliness.
Biblically based and with direction for application, learn how “God works from the inside out”1 when you place yourself “in the path of God’s grace and seek Him”1 through the
Spiritual Disciplines.

The Doctrine of the Word
2 Tim. 3:16-17 (ESV)

in righteousness, [17] that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work."
This four week course is offered to help you grow in your appreciation and love for God's Word: The Bible.
We will be discussing questions like these during our 4-week study: How do we know that the Bible is God's Word?
Are there any errors in the Bible? Can only Bible scholars understand the Bible rightly? For what purpose is the Bible necessary?
Is the Bible enough for knowing what God wants us to think or do?
